Every shop has a beginning. For Stigall Bladeworks, this is it.
Forged from an AK&T high-carbon railroad spike, this was the first knife to come out of the Stigall Bladeworks home shop. The original character of the spike was intentionally left visible, from the forged and twisted handle to the unmistakable railroad-spike head at the pommel.
It isn't the most refined knife the shop will ever produce—and that's exactly why it matters. It represents the starting point: the first finished blade, the early hammer work, the lessons learned, and the beginning of a craft that would continue to develop with every knife that followed.
This piece will never be offered for sale. It is being kept as a personal heirloom and a permanent part of the Stigall Bladeworks story—a reminder of where the work began and something that can eventually be passed down along with that story.
